Dear Neighbor,
Hello, my name is Julie Rogers, and I am proud to represent Michigan’s 41st District in the House of Representatives. Now serving in my second term, I have the honor and privilege of chairing the House Health Policy committee where I collaborate with others to improve access to affordable health care.
As a health care provider, I have used my experience and knowledge to craft legislation that prioritizes our community’s health. We have had an incredible term, and I’ve been pleased to work with my colleagues to codify popular elements of the Affordable Care Act into Michigan law to protect residents’ access to health care.
Budgets reflect one’s priorities. I am very proud of our state’s 2024 budget, which has historic funding for our public schools (including free breakfast and lunch for all children), additional dollars for lead service line replacement, funds for behavioral health specialists to respond alongside Kalamazoo’s law enforcement officers on calls involving mental health crises, and funding for US 131 business loop.
We have much more work to do together, and I will continue to fight for those who are often underrepresented and forgotten. Our community needs an economy and government that works for everyone, not just a select few. Please join me as we continue the work to transform Michigan!
Onward,
Julie M. Rogers
State Representative, 41st House District
